Monel Alloys

Monel Alloys

Ratnam Steel is a distributor of various Monel Alloy Grades and Conditions in any size or form. Monel alloys are very difficult to machine as it work-hardens very quickly, needs to be turned and worked at slow speeds and low feed rates. Monel alloys are resistant to corrosion and acids, and some alloys can withstand a fire in pure oxygen. This alloy is commonly used in applications with highly corrosive conditions. Monel alloys retain their strength at very high temperatures, allowing them to maintain their shape at high atmospheric flight speeds.

Monel Alloys corrosion resistance make them ideal for marine applications such as seawater valves, pump shafts, piping systems, trolling wire, water tanks, fuel tanks as well as propeller shafts. Check availability with our sales department to see if Ratnam Steel can provide your Monel Alloy metal requirement.
